Healthy Beef Gyros

Beef Gyros, these things are friggin delicious

Beef Gyros

1 lb. super lean ground beef

1 red onion

2 cloves garlic

1/3 of a cucumber

1 cup plain yogurt

salt

pepper

milk

2 roma tomatoes

pocket-less pitas

First make the Tziki sauce, to do this combine 1 clove diced garlic, 1/4 red onion chopped, and 1/3 cucumber chopped, 1 cup yougur, a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp of milk. Store this mixutre in the fridge while you prepare the meat.

Now combine 1/8 red onion chopped, 1 diced garlic clove, 1 lb beef, and 1/2-3/4 tbsp of salt. after throughly mixing this combination, separate into three patties.

cook all three patties. Once cooked sliced the patties into strips.

Now take 1/2 red onion and 2 roma tomatoes and slice them to top the gyros.

put 1 patties worth of meat into a pita, and now top with sliced onion, tomatos, and tziki sauce. Roll the pita and consume!

  3. The gyros were a hit. My wife, along with my brother and sister-in-law, loved them! Plus a gained bonus points with my wife for cooking too!
