It’s Go Time!

I have said it before, and I am saying it again: I am Finished Being Fat! I am tired of being tired, and sick of being sick. Being fat sucks, It keeps me from doing the things that I want to do. I find that occasionally listing the things that I want to be able to do, but currently am unable to do due to my being fat is a definite motivator. So here we go, the list:

  • I want to be able to go Hiking
  • I want to be able to go Backpacking
  • I want to be able to go Cycling
  • I want to be able to Run Road Races

These are just a few of the things that I want to be able to do. Some people may see this as a negative list. But I don’t. Everytime I list the things that I want to do, I get excited.

Motivation is what this post is about. I am as motivated as I have ever been right now, and I just want to make sure I keep it going. I want to make sure that I vocalize(in written form ;) ) my excitement right now. I am excited and am ready to kick some butt.

Some of you may have noticed that in my last few videos I keep saying that “It’s Go Time” or “I’m Kicking it up a Notch.” I have had a few people ask me why I keep saying those things. It’s because I like to consider myself an Humor and Visual Entertainment Enthusiast. I am actually quoting one of my favorite episodes of Seinfeld. The episode called “The Blood.” In that episode, Jerry’s parents hire him a personal trainer, the catch is that the trainer is the 90 year old Izzy Mandelbuam. Izzy thinks himself an oldschool fitness badass, and has nothing but insults and mockery for Jerry. One of the things that Izzy says a lot of in the episode whilst he is “training” Jerry, is “It’s Go Time.” Anyway, Long story short evertime that I hear or say “It’s Go Time” it makes me think of Izzy, makes me laugh and smile, and always puts me in a good mood. To me, just being happy, or in a good mood is half of the battle for motivating yourself.

Later,

Dan

Oh, and P.S.

Lloyd Bridges kicking ass as Izzy Mandelbaum
