Chicken Burritos

This is my first Recipe for finished being fat, hopefully it is decent.

Finished Being Fat Chicken Burrito

5-6 oz chicken breast sliced into strips

1/2 cup cabbage shredded

1 Roma tomato Chopped

1 large wheat tortilla

2 tablespoons cucumber sauce

Salt the chicken about 5 minutes before you cook it, this will increase the deliciousness.
Grill the chicken either on the grill or in a non-stick pan.

Once the chicken has cooked, add it to the tortilla and top then top it with the cabbage and tortilla. Then Drizzle the Cucumber sauce onto the chicken, tomato, and cabbage, then Roll the Burrito and Enjoy!

Recipe for the cucumber sauce is as follows:

1 cucumber(remove skin)

1 bottle light ranch dressing

1/2 – 1 cup of milk

combine all three in food processor or blender. store left over sauce for later use.

I really liked this burrito, and hope that you like it too. Its only around 400-500 calories.

also, hopefully I get better at crafting these recipes and these videos as time goes on.

Day 23: Recipes!

I’ll be cooking and probably posting my first healthy new years recipe either tomorrow or Thursday, so be sure to check back in the next day or two. I talk in todays video a little bit about how I think that it is more important to learn to eat the correct portions rather than just stuffing yourself to the brim with “healthy” low calorie foods. I view this whole weight loss/Health thing as a long term “rest of my life” type of change, and i’d rather learn to eat correctly than just take a shortcut with crappy low-cal food. Enjoy the video:

Day 21 – 5.4 Lbs. down!

I have Gone from 379.4 to 374.0, that is 5.4 Lbs. down this week, AWESOME! I am excited that my weight loss methods seem to be working! hopefully I can make it into the 360′s by next week. I made a couple of videos. Hope you enjoy them, enjoy:

Happy New Year! Day 19

Happy new year! I hope everyone had a good 2009. I did another quick video update today. I have a new years resolution or two to talk about today. First, I plan to continue engaging in my weight loss methods, and hope to continue seeing the progress I have been seeing. I also hope to compile a list of 100 Healthy and Tasty recipes to use for my weight loss journey.

I have also had a few really good comments from people checking out my youtube channel, and want to thank them for their advice.

Bad Habits, a little progress, and a video diary

Let me be straight forward, I have more than a few bad habits. But this week I have noticed a couple habits that really bothered me.

1. I am a mindless fridge zombie! It doesn’t matter if I am hungry or not, If i walk by the fridge I will open it. This is not a good thing, and this is defiantly a habit I need to kick!

2. I don’t chew my food. I inhale it! I need to teach myself to slow down and masticate. If I can learn to do that, I think I will be less prone to over eating.

Alright, now a little bit of good news(or at least I think it is good.) I have had to cut 2 new notches in my belt in the last few weeks, because my pants keep falling down.

Day 14 Diary and Weigh-In

ugh, this has been a bad week for weight loss. Christmas, and various christmas parties kept me from losing. Luckily I worked hard enough and controlled myself well enough to keep from gaining. I am going to shoot for 10 lbs. again this week, and I hope to make it! I will be Shooting for 10 Lbs. every week until I hit my goal! Here are my videos for this week. enjoy:

Christmas Eve Video Update

Happy Holidays Everyone! How is it going? Sadly, I am not going to hit 10 Lbs. at this weeks weigh-in, but i do still expect to be down from last week. I am just having too much fun eating delicious goodies during the holidays. Keep in mind though, I am not going crazy. I am still trying to use portion control, and only eat 1-2 cookies instead of 11-12 :D . Anyway, here is a short little video where I talk a little bit more about some holiday challenges, and some of my goodie eating philosophies. enjoy:

A little note to myself…

This post is more of a reminder to myself  than anything else. I know that someday soon I will get discouraged or want to quit and I wont remember how I feel right now. So I am going to write myself a letter that I can call back to at anytime to give myself a little boost.

Dear Dan,

At this point you have only been doing this for a week, and have many more weeks to go, but know this: you feel good. You feel better, and have felt better for the last couple of days than you have in a long time. It may be the healthy eating or the daily exercise but I have a feeling that it has more to do with the fact that you are actually taking the time and making the effort to do something good for yourself, and that is what’s boosting your spirits! Usually you just kind eek your way through every day and instead of doing something to change your life, you just hope that things will get better. So remember keep going, you can do it! You may only be on the first part of this weight loss and life changing journey, but you are already seeing the benefits of your actions, you are seeing the happiness and confidence that comes from caring about yourself. So keep on going. I know that you are going to get discouraged and things are going to get difficult, but persevere! Remember that I know you can do it because right now, I know that I can do it!
